John Egan is a North Attleboro, Massachusetts teacher who has been on the Bishop Stang High School faculty since 2010, instructing students in algebra and geometry. He has spoken on "Social Wellness” as an invited participant in Sophomore Wellness Day and created and organized the well-attended Freshman Sophomore Dance. John Egan has also taught mini lessons for parents as part of his school’s a nnual Open House.
One unique North Attleboro initiative Mr. Egan contributes to is Cardboard Tent City, which brings together more than 100 teachers and students in sleeping outdoors in winter conditions. Through this hands-on experience, participants gain a greater understanding of the challenges that people in Massachusetts who are homeless face. He also helps raise money in support of children with autism.
John Egan is a dedicated grandparent who supports his 10 grandchildren in league sports activities at the YMCA. He is also an avid college basketball fan who has a background in high school baseball, basketball, and cross country. An avid traveler, he has visited locales around the globe, including England, Ireland, Alaska, Hawaii, and the Bahamas.
